The CAS Communications and Management course is aimed at experienced managers and high-potential professionals working in marketing, communications and public relations. There are no requirements regarding previous qualifications. The course is designed to fit around your professional duties, allowing you to continue working full-time.

This intensive course comprises six three to four-day modules, each focusing on a different topic. Each module runs from Tuesday to Thursday, with an evening program on Wednesday evening. You can obtain a module plan from the current edition of the course from the course leader.

We use various methods to ensure you can implement learning content in your company, including examining your performance in three areas. First, you must attend at least 90% of the classes for each module. Second, at the end of each module, you must submit a written paper to the seminar leader to demonstrate learning transfer (approx. ten pages; graded). Third, you will complete a group project across the modules. The task is to produce a written analysis of a topic and give a final presentation (both elements are graded).

Option to extend studies to diploma level (DAS-HSG) You can choose to extend the CAS Communication and Management course with the CAS Marketing Management course and a diploma thesis to earn the DAS Marketing Executive (HSG) worth 30 ECTS credits.

Admission to the course is at the discretion of the program director. They will take into account your professional background, qualifications and completed training. An academic university-level degree or qualification is not a precondition of admission.

As our intensive courses are often fully booked well in advance, we recommend contacting the seminar leader right away. Making a reservation is the best way to secure a place with no obligation to proceed and also gives you time to make any internal organizational arrangements.

The total price for the course is CHF 18750 for 18 days of teaching (6 x 3 or 4-day modules). It includes all documentation, books, lunch and refreshments. It does not include the costs of travel, accommodation, evening meals and communal events.

  • The CAS Communication and Management enabled me to delve into the different aspects of communication within 6 modules. Two points in particular stood out for me. Thanks to the regular learning transfers and the constructive feedback from the course leaders, I was able to immediately apply what I had learned to my organisation. In addition, the exciting mix of participants from different industries allowed me to gather new ideas and incorporate them into my work.

  • The DAS Marketing Executive course was very well prepared and implemented by the HSG. The selection of speakers and the practical examples taught were excellently curated. My goal was to deepen the current approaches to marketing management and communication, which was completely achieved. Even unforeseen situations like the Covid pandemic were included from the beginning and we were provided with a tool set for practical use. Through the transfer work, we were able to permanently build a direct bridge to our companies. I was already able to implement some things in the company, which is why the study programme has already paid off for us.

  • I found the executive education Communication and Management valuable because the current topics of corporate communication were taught from a practical perspective by communication experts, agencies and theoretical knowledge shown by examples from the industry. The contents were also discussed in the group and supplemented with reports of experiences, which gave an exciting insight into the different approaches.
