Oliver Brockschmidt is a doctoral candidate and research assistant to Prof. Dr. Sven Reinecke at the Institute for Marketing and Customer Insight at the University of St.Gallen (IMC-HSG).
After completing his bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig, he completed his master’s degree in business, management & economics at RWTH Aachen University.
Besides professional activities in business development, he worked for a consulting company in the energy industry for three years, starting in 2018. There, he worked, i.a. on market entry strategies in the field of electromobility, project management for the renewal of critical infrastructure, mentoring of start-ups, as well as the dimensioning and implementation of (renewable) energy concepts.
In 2021, Oliver Brockschmidt started his PhD at the University of St.Gallen and is dedicated to research in the field of Brand Management / Marketing Management. The current topics of his engagement are Brand Extensions in the field of Corporate Sustainability.
