Peter Giger is a PhD candidate and research associate at the Institute of Marketing and Customer Insight at the University of St. Gallen (IMC-HSG). His research, which lies at the intersection of marketing and computer science, leverages his computer science expertise to solve marketing problems. His research focus is on influencer marketing and blockchain technologies, where he uses machine learning, among other tools, to quantify previously difficult-to-measure aspects.
He completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science with a major in Business Informatics and a minor in Statistics/Data Science at the University of Zurich (UZH). After his Master’s, he earned a teaching diploma for secondary schools in Computer Science at PHBern. During his studies, he gained practical experience as a software and AI developer.
