The intensive course CAS Strategic Procurement addresses experienced managers in purchasing, procurement, materials management and logistics, specialists who would like to develop into purchasing managers and members of management who want to optimize the procurement processes in their company. An academic degree is not required.

This intensive course comprises six three-day modules, each focusing on a different topic. Each module runs from Tuesday to Thursday, with an evening program on Wednesday evening.

You can obtain a module plan from the current edition of the course from the program manager.

We use various methods to ensure you can implement learning content in your company, including examining your performance in three areas. First, you must attend at least 90% of the classes for each module. Second, at the end of each module, you must submit a written paper to the seminar leader to demonstrate learning transfer (approx. ten pages; graded). Third, you will complete a group project across the modules. The task is to produce a written analysis of a topic and give a final presentation (both elements are graded).

Admission to the course is at the discretion of the program director. They will take into account your professional background, qualifications and completed training. An academic university-level degree or qualification is not a precondition of admission.

As our intensive courses are often fully booked well in advance, we recommend contacting the seminar leader right away. Making a reservation is the best way to secure a place with no obligation to proceed and also gives you time to make any internal organizational arrangements.

The total participation fee is CHF 18,750 for 18 study days (6 modules of 3 days each). This includes all documents, books, lunch and refreshments during the breaks. Not included are the costs for arrival and departure, accommodation, dinner and social evening events.

  • I think it's fantastic about this executive education that both worlds – purchasing and sales – can meet on a neutral field and find out: what does the other think, what are their considerations, what are their needs?
    Roberto Grassi
Director RM IT Professional Ressources AG
  • The Intensive Studies for Purchasing Managers were a platform that gave you space and took you out of the daily business. I found it very interesting, among other things because of nice conversations at eye level and because this often-told enmity between purchasing and sales does not actually exist.
    Maximilian Lindner
    Strategic Buyer Emmi Schweiz AG
  • The intensive study program for purchasing managers enables you to reflect on the ever faster changes in the global market and to develop quintessences in an academic and professional environment. This is also what the alumni stand for after the successful seminar.
